The red line is the oldest line of the Delhi Metro System running between Rithala and Dilshad Garden. This line covers the distance of 24 km and consists of 21 stations which are elevated. Being the oldest metro line, it has worked as a model for the rest of the metro line constructed after red line. It connects the areas of North East Delhi, North Delhi, and North West Delhi and also the areas of Ghaziabad from Dilshad Metro station.
