Bangalore officially known as Bengaluru is the capital of the South Indian state of Karnataka. It has a population of about 8.52 million, making it the third most populous city and fifth most populous urban agglomeration in India Located in southern India on the Deccan Plateau, at a height of over 900 m (3,000 ft) above sea level, Bengaluru is known for its pleasant climate throughout the year.
The city is also called the Garden City of India amidst the other popular names it has, as the Silicon Valley and the pub city of India. Earlier Bangalore was called as the pensioner’s paradise for the calm and green city which it once was. But I say although the city is growing exponentially by the day and its increasing population, diversity, pollution, infrastructure, traffic and what not, the city still has managed to maintain its cool n calmness in the same composure.
There are beautiful gardens stretched across acres of land which have remained the same through the decades, standing tall sufficing to what I am saying about them now, be it Lal bagh, Cubbon park or banerughatta national park they have always been ambassadors of nature and greenery at Bangalore, with beautiful sights for the mango people, a destination for photographers and offering multiple events for nature lovers or foodies such as flower shows and mango mela.
In this beautiful city there is always more to what meets your eye! Even though the traffic at Bangalore is increasing at alarming rates luscious green trees always stand on either side of the roads promising you their shade. Bangalore is also known for the beautiful lakes it has, providing the perfect landscape for you to spend time reminiscing the nature and ofcourse boating and bird watching.
Yet another amazing feature of the garden city is that the city is known for its pleasant climate throughout the year. In Bangalore its never extremely hot or extremely freezing the weather is just beautiful and moderate all 365 days making it super comfortable for all the homo sapiens who dwell here.
It may no longer be a pensioner’s paradise, it may have become the IT hub, pub city or the traffic junction but Bangalore will never disappoint you when it comes to the beautiful green city it is and will always be. It is still the perfect place to take a stroll in the evening in that beautiful park after you had a really long day at office or college, this will always be a cool green city for me for you and for all of us.
What are you waiting for? Take a break from all that stress you have been welling up, take a break from mails and messages, take a break from traffic, a break from chaos, it’s time to indulge in nature. Time to soothe your eyes with greenery and if you stay in Bangalore I am very sure you have a park or a lake in and around your vicinity! Well that’s the beauty of living in the garden city isn’t it?
