GANAPATI FESTIVAL 2017 – Traffic restrictions near Lalbaugcha Raja

Traffic regulations and diversions have been implemented by MUMBAI TRAFFIC POLICE ( By Press Notification) to avoid traffic congestion and inconvenience to commuters near Lalbaugcha Raja. from 25 August 2017 (Friday) up to 05 September, 2017 (Tuesday) during the Ganapati Festival 2017.

Following roads will be closed for vehicular movement

1. South bound traffic of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar road will be closed from
Bharat Mata Junction to Bawla Compound for heavy vehicles during period
25th August 2017 at 06.00 hrs. (Friday) to 05th September, 2017 at 24.00 hrs.
(Tuesday).
2. South bound traffic of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar road will be closed from
Bharat Mata Junction to Bawla Compound for all vehicles during period 25th
August 2017. (Friday) to 05th September, 2017 (Tuesday). (Every day from
15.00 hrs. to 07.00 hrs.)

Substitute Road
a) Right turn at Bharat Mata Junction towards Curry Road Bridge – Left turn
at Shingate Master Chowk – N M Joshi Road – Aurthor Road Naka – S
Bridge Road – Babasaheb Ambedkar Road.
b) Left turn at Bharat Mata Junction towards NaikChowk – Saibaba Marg –
left turn G. D. Ambekar Marg – straight Shravan Yashvante Chowk.

3. South bound traffic of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road passing from Gas
Company Chowk via Sane Guruji Marg is closed for all vehicular traffic
during period 25th August 2017 at 06.00 hrs. (Friday) to 05th September, 2017
at 24.00 hrs. (Tuesday).

Substitute Road
a) To approach Gulabrao Ganacharya Chowk (Aurther Road Naka) – Dr.
Babasaheb Ambedkar Road – Right turn at Bharat Mata Junction – Curry Road
Railway Bridge – Left turn at Shingate Master Chowk – N. M. Joshi Marg –
Gulabrao Ganacharya Chowk (Aurther Road Naka)
b) To approach GulabraoGanacharyaChowk (Aurthor Road Naka) – Dr.
BabasahebAmbedkar Road – Straight up to Gas Company Junction – Kala
Chawky junction – Take U turn at Bawal Compound – via North Bound of
Dr. BabasahebAmbedkar Road – left turn at Gas Company Junction – Sane
Guruji Marg (Rotary)

4. Right turn movement is closed for all vehicles. Coming from Sane Guruji
Marg at Gas Company Chowk during period 25th August 2017 at 06.00 hrs.
(Friday) to 05th September, 2017 at 24.00 hrs. (Tuesday).

Substitute Road
a) Gulabrao Ganacharya Chowk (Aurther Road Naka) – N. M. Joshi Marg – S
Bridge Marg.
b) Sane Guruji Marg via Chinchpokali Railway Bridge – straight up to north
bound of Bharat Mata Junction – Right turn at Bharat Mata Junction – G G
Bhai lane – Left turn at Saibaba Path – G D Ambekar Marg –
Shravan Yashvante Chowk – Albert Junction – Tanaji Malusare Marg – T B
Kadam Marg – Bawla Compound – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road.

5. North bound Traffic of Sane Guruji Marg from Chinchpokali Railway Bridge
is closed for all types of vehicles during period 25th August 2017 at 06.00 hrs.
(Friday) to 05th September, 2017 at 24.00 hrs. (Tuesday).
Substitute Road
a) From Ganacharya Chowk via N M Joshi Road to S Bridge

6. All vehicular traffic from Naik Chowk of S S Rao Road to Lalbaug Police
Chowky is closed during period 25th August 2017 at 06.00 hrs. (Friday) to 05th
September, 2017 at 24.00 hrs. (Tuesday).
Substitute Road –
No substitute road but vehicles of local residence are allowed.

7. All vehicular traffic from Sardar Hotel Junction of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar
Road to Shravan Yashvante Chowk is closed during period 25th August 2017 at
06.00 hrs. (Friday) to 05th September, 2017 at 24.00 hrs. (Tuesday).
Substitute Road
a) To approach ShravanYashvanteChowk from Dr. BabasahebAmbedkar
Road – Left turn at Bawla Compound – Right turn T B Kadam Marg –
Tanaji Malusare Marg – Left turn Rambhau Bhagale Marg –
Shravan YashvanteChowk.
b) To approach Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road from
ShravanYashvanteChowk – Right turn at Albert Circle Junction – left turn
Tanaji Malusare Marg – T B Kadam Marg – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road.

Important : During the Ganapati festival while moving around in Mumbai , it is advised to avoid personalized transport as it adds to congestion, better to opt for Public Transport Buses, Local Trains which are convenient and faster as well..Avoid peak hours( Morning 8.30 am to 11.30 am & Evening 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm) in public transport.
