Borivali Station got a Makeover!

If you haven’t been to Borivali station for a while, you are in for a surprise the next time you go there. 500 Volunteers form the NGO ‘Making A Difference’ (M.A.D) got together last week to clean up and beautify the station. This initiative, inspired by Narendra Modi’s Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, has certainly made the Railway station easier on the eyes.

Ticket windows, pillars, stairs and overhead bridges of Borivali Railway Station were painted with beautiful colours and representations, with the theme revolving around the famous Sanjay Gandhi National.

Check out some of the photos below.

The painting styles are known as graffiti. It’s a type of street art that gives a message.

All the volunteers have left their mark with a hand print on this poster.

This is a great initiative taken by the NGO and now, it’s our turn as responsible citizens to keep it the same!
