BMTC stands for Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation. BMTC is a public bus transport company operated by the government agency in the city of Bangalore. With the increasing population and traffic in the city, a local public transport service was needed to help solve the issues.

BMTC has 34 bus stations throughout Bangalore and three major bus station which are located at Majestic, K. R. Market, Shivaji Nagar. BMTC also operates 10 Travel and Transit Management centers at different places in the city.
